The Hope to Buy is Still Alive in Downtown Chicago

While development in Chicago is booming, it seems the dream of ownership is fading. The majority of new buildings in the hottest neighborhoods, like River North, Gold Coast, and Old Town, are only available as rentals. Rentals may be perfect for the recent college grad entering the workforce, but what about the other citizens of Chicago who want a high rise to call their own?

Luckily, there are still condominiums available to own in desirable neighborhoods throughout the city. Take 10 E. Ontario for example. The building has units for sale with several layout styles like junior one bedrooms with smaller square footage to larger two bedroom two baths. Regardless of the unit size, residents benefit from a 24-hour doorman, a pool with outdoor deck for sunning during Chicago summers, plus a community room and a fitness center.

Although it was built in 1983, many of the units feature renovated spaces with modern bathroom and kitchen fixtures. Aside from the great amenities the building is blocks away from shops on Michigan Avenue, near several grocery and dining options, plus entertainment like a movie theater and tourist attractions such as the Museum of Contemporary Art.

It’s comforting to know that even with the latest renting craze, coveted buildings like 10 E. Ontario still offer the opportunity to own. To see units that are currently available to purchase please click here.
